Nagarkot Dhulikhel trek is a short and comfortable trip nearby Kathmandu. This trek will take you through the easy trekking trails accompanied by the walk through the villages and forests. Like other treks in Nepal, you will get to enjoy the natural beauty of Nepal along with view of mountain peaks.
The journey starts with the drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal and from there the walk begins. You will be walking through the Shivapuri National Park area which is home for rare species of birds and various rare species of orchards are also found here. You will also be visiting the water reservoir at Sundarijal which is main source of water supply for the people of Kathmandu valley. The trek will give you the experience of visiting the traditional village and knowing their culture and lifestyle. The village at Chisopani has the settlement area mostly of Brahmins, Tamangs and Gurungs.
You will have the chance to experience enchanting view of sunrise and sunset from Nagarkot for which Nagarkot is famous for. Nagarkot is also the ideal place for picnic and short tour and outing. Mountain peaks like Mount Everest, Dhaulagiri, Kanchenjunga, Ganesh Himal, Manaslu and many other can be viewed from there. Then you will walking to Dhulikhel and to Namo Buddha and visit the famous monastery there. You will have chance to observe Buddhist religious practices from close. Then the drive to Bhaktapur and visiting the traditional Bhaktapur Durbar Square is another interesting part of this trip. The journey ends with the drive to Kathmandu.

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport we offer you pick up facility from the airport and manage your stay at the most comfortable hotel in the city. You get to meet the team of trekkers and together we prepare for the trek. At the evening we offer you lavish welcome dinner with authentic Nepali Cuisine.
We offer you short trip to historical and cultural sites around Kathmandu valley: Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath Stupa and Pashupatinath temple. You can also do some souvenir shopping during the sightseeing. After sightseeing we head back to hotel and pack our things and get ready for the trek.
We will start the day with an early drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal which lies in the north east of Kathmandu. From Sundarijal, the walk on foot begins. We will hike up from Sundarijal. After a short uphill walk we reach the entrance to Shivapuri National Park entrance. After the entry formalities we hike further uphill. The trail is surrounded by thick forest with the river flowing on our right. Further up we reach the water reservoir that supplies water to the Kathmandu valley. We then reach the top of Shivapuri hill and then head towards Chisopani. We pass through forest and Tamang settlement area enjoying panoramic view of Mount Everest and Manaslu. We will spend the night at Chisopani.
We start our trek early in the morning with the downhill walk through the forest. We will also pass through village area on the way. After reaching Nagarkot we enjoy the view of hills and mountains. The view is captivating from the top of the hill. The place has comfortable hotels with quality service. We will observe the sunset view and take pictures. The mountains peaks like Mount Everest, Manaslu, Gaurishankar, Ganesh Himal and many other can be viewed from there. We will spend the night in a hotel at Nagarkot.
We will get up early for the great sunrise view. The golden rays of sun striking over the white peak give the beautiful picture. We will then walk along the hillside and then follow the downhill trail. During the walk you can get wide view of valley and terrace filed down below. The walk will then continue towards the highway. We will then catch the bus to Dhulikhel. We will get to the hotel and enjoy the sunset with nice view of langtang range. Night at the hotel.
We will start the walk from Dhhulikhel through the quiet trail to Namo Buddha. After around 5-6 hours’ walk we will reach Namo Buddha with a huge monastery and beautiful surrounding view. We will explore the monastery and meet the monks living there. We will stay for the night at Namo Buddha.
The walk for the day starts early in the morning by leaving Namo Buddha behind and heading towards Panauti. We will walk through the village areas and fileds on the way. Once at Panauti we will visit the famous temples around. We will spend some time there and then catch the bus and head towards Bhaktapur. We will visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square exploring the monuments and temples there. Then we will drive back to Kathmandu and head to the hotel for the night.
Today is the final day and we get ready for the departure. We offer you the facility to drop at the Tribhuvan International Airport. We exchange final greetings and wishes and hope to see each other next time as well. We wish pleasant journey and bid the final goodbye.
